The iPhone Dev-Team today released redsn0w 0.9.8b7 for Windows / Mac, which brings support for updated .ipsw file for iPad 1G iOS 5 Beta 6. This latest announcement comes from a Team member MuscleNerd.
It is a rather minor update which arrives just after Apple reportedly up graded the IPSW (iPad1 iOS5b6) without altering the version number or filename for unknown reasons. Beta 7 of Redsn0w 0.9.8, then, handles both the original as well as the refreshed IPSW.
Besides this the Dev team have also included explicit support for a tethered 4.3.5/4.2.10 jailbreak (rather than pointing at the 4.3.4/4.2.9 IPSWs) and resolved a 4.2.10 issue.
Remember the fact that this is a tethered jailbreak, which means you will need to connect your iOS device with your pc to boot it into a jailbroken state. An untethered jailbreak will likely arrive by the end of year or maybe early next year following iOS 5 releases.
