Con: Windows Vista

Demand for XP overshadows Vista's newness
With overwhelming consumer demand for Windows XP on its PCs, Dell had to change its stance on only offering Vista on their Home Computers. Not giving consumers the option in the first place was a major wrong move by Dell (and actually most other major PC companies). Now Dell is letting consumers decide what operating system they want on many of their PCs.
Vista has not proven itself yet, and some software still doesn't work properly on it. Software publishers are working on making patches or new versions of their software that are Vista compatible, but that will take time. If I can't use the software I want, there is no reason for me to upgrade to Vista.
Thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I'll stick with XP for a while until you get the bugs out of Vista...probably when you release the first Service Pack.
