I see your points but I would have to disagree with the quality and sound not being anything special. High Definition is the next thing for watching movies in theatre like quality and that quality of sound and picture can only be accomplished through Blue-ray or HD-DVD. Now it will take longer for everyone to cross over to one of these formats, its not going to be as easy as it was for DVD's but people will eventually see the difference and make the switch. HDTV's will soon be the standard and DVD players can't compete with 1080p HD picture and HD sound.
