High definition formats will have slow uptake

Sorry, but no one is going to be able to replicate how well DVDs did, and have been doing since they arrived on the market. DVDs were far superior to VHS in many ways, many more ways than DVD versus HD DVD or Blu-ray. Also, going against the new formats is the advent of digital distribution, where physical media is no longer required.

Con: Windows Vista

Sorry, Vista is not for gamers

I know Microsoft has been touting the benefits for gamers of their new operating system, but that fact is right now Vista is a horrible choice for gamers.

Con: iPhone

Looking more and more like the PS3 launch

Let's see... high price point: check, difficult to manufacture: check, OS issues weeks before launch: check, limited software: check. Yup, lookin' like a mirror of the PS3 launch to me.

Con: Windows Vista

Demand for XP overshadows Vista's newness

With overwhelming consumer demand for Windows XP on its PCs, Dell had to change its stance on only offering Vista on their Home Computers. Not giving consumers the option in the first place was a major wrong move by Dell (and actually most other major PC companies). Now Dell is letting consumers decide what operating system they want on many of their PCs.
